Chris Neagle

Attorney

Chris graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. cum laude in Mathematics in 1974 and received his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1977. He was admitted to the Maine and Massachusetts bars in 1977 and practiced law in two large Portland, Maine law firms for 43 years before moving his law practice out of downtown Portland in August of 2020. He handles commercial and residential sales and leases, state and local land use and zoning matters, real estate and land use related litigation, and condominium law. Chris was first named to “Best Lawyers in America” in 2003 and has been listed there ever since.

He also offers mediation services through Real Estate Resolutions LLC. 

Chris was appointed Commissioner of the Maine Claims Board in 2023. It determines awards to landowners for eminent domain takings.

Chris remains very active in the Maine State Bar Association’s Real Estate and Title Section and has taught many seminars through its CLE programs. He served on the Cumberland Planning Board for 12 years, was a coach for the Cumberland Soccer Club with his son’s travel team and was active in the Cumberland Congregational Church for many years.

Chris is a member of the Spiller Family from Wells and now lives in West Cumberland with his loyal dog, Ace. When he is not in the office, you will find him in the woods with Ace, alpine skiing at New England mountains, playing pickle ball, contradancing and golfing.

Amy and her family moved to the beautiful state of Maine 12 years ago and they live in North Yarmouth.  Her family consists of her husband, two boys and their labradoodle, Fozzie.

 
Amy was born and raised in Massachusetts.  She graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Restaurant Management.  Amy’s varied work experience started in the hospitality industry and weaved its way through inside sales, office management, small business owner, and most recently, special education.  Amy works as a paralegal to Chris using the various skills that she has acquired in the past 32 years.

Living in Maine has encouraged Amy to expand her outdoor activities which include mountain biking, fat tire snow biking, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, and most recently pickleball.  She also enjoys reading, knitting, playing cribbage, dancing, seeing live music, traveling, and good old fashion binging on streaming services.

 

Ace

Firm Mascot

Ace is Chris’ beloved and loyal four-legged canine companion who arrived from Georgia 7 years ago. As the firm mascot, he may be the most valuable mammal.

Ace loves to greet visitors, receive treats, “help” Chris around the office, and lay in the sun. He is featured on all official firm mailings. 

When not working, Ace loves playing ball and dog walks at Twin Brook Park and the Sugarloaf trails.
